ParaPro Test / ParaPathways

The ParaPro Assessment is an established examination that evaluates the reading, writing, and mathematics skills of individuals pursuing or serving in paraprofessional roles.

The ParaPathways Assessment has been introduced as the successor to the ParaPro. It provides updated content and structure to align with current educational standards. During the transition period, both assessments may be offered; however, ParaPathways will ultimately serve as the required assessment moving forward.

Test Retake Policy:
ParaPro: Effective June 22, 2024, test takers can retake the test once as soon as they would like. If more than one retake is necessary, test takers must wait 7 days after their most recent attempt (not including the day of the test), and then, they can retake the test two more times. Continued retakes will follow the same pattern of a 7-day waiting period after two (2) attempts.
ParaPathways: Tests must be retaken on a date that is at least 21 days after the previous test date. For example: If you take a test on the first of the month, you cannot retake it until the 22nd day of the month. Note: If you take the composite test (5757), you cannot retake a subtest (5758 or 5759) until after the 21-day period.
Breaks: There are no scheduled rest breaks during a standard test session. If a test taker must leave the testing room briefly during the test session to go to the rest room or take medication, the 2 ½ hour limit will continue to count down. Remind the test taker that they will not be allowed extra testing time for such an absence. When the test taker returns to the testing room, the session will continue to be available up to the 2 ½ hour limit
